The One Super-Probiotic Everyone Should Take!

The One Super-Probiotic Everyone Should Take!

Super-Probiotic Unless you’ve been living under a rock, you probably know that taking a probiotic on a daily basis is just as important as taking a multivitamin.

What you may not know is that most probiotics on the market don’t work as advertised and some may even harm you. But there is one “super” probiotic that is head-and-shoulders above everything else we’ve ever seen and that’s what I want to talk to you about today.

Why Are Probiotics SOOO Important?

They boost the immune system. They aid in digestion and the assimilation of nutrients. They keep your gut healthy. They help keep systemic infections like Candida albicans (yeast) at bay. And recent research even suggests they may help fight belly fat!

All of us here at Rockwell—myself, our head nutritionist Julie Haugen, and our customer service staff—take probioitcs on a daily basis. But choosing the right probiotic for the job can be a daunting task, even for sophisticated consumers like all of us.

Which brings us to the exciting super-probiotic I promised to tell you about.

Probiotics are NOT All Created Equal…

You see, the majority of probiotics come from cultured dairy or fermented vegetables. Yet when it comes to probiotics, those that are derived from healthy human intestines—and cultivated in labs under sterile conditions—are the undisputed kings. We call these human strains “super-probiotics”—they offer the best quality and value of any probiotic manufactured anywhere.  Here’s why.

To get where they’re going and do any good, probiotics have to survive a hostile environment—the acid stomach. The 100% human strains have over 90% survival in the full stomach (when taken right after a meal) and over 50% survival in the harshest environment of all—the empty (highly acidic) stomach.

When compared with other probiotic strains, human strains survive passage through the intestines very well. And they adhere beautifully to the cells throughout the intestines, vagina, and urinary tract.

Then there’s the issue of FOS. FOS—or fructooligosaccharides—is a class of sugars that occur naturally in a wide variety of foods. They’re often added to probiotic supplements because they serve as “food” for the live probiotic organisms, thus helping them survive. But FOS can be a problem for people who have challenges with yeast, since Candida albicans also feeds on FOS just like the good guys do. If you’ve got yeast issues, you’ll want a probiotic without FOS, at least until the yeast is under control.

People who’ve been on a course of antibiotic treatment need a very high level of probiotic support. You’ll want a supplement with the highest CFU count (colony forming units), since the antibiotics will have wiped out all the good bacteria along with the bad.

The “Super” Probiotic that is Our Top Choice…

Our favorite choices for probiotic supplementation all meet our exacting standards for probiotic supplementation and all are 100% human strains:

HLC Mind Linx probiotic Capsules by Pharmax

These probiotics for people who have gluten or dairy sensitivity because it has a specific human strain that does a really good job of helping people digest gluten or dairy. Even though you may be on a dairy-free or gluten-free diet, when eating out it’s always possible that some gluten or dairy products may be in some restaurant recipes. The Mind Linx product will help you deal with that challenge more effectively.

Note that individual circumstances—like coming off a course of antibiotics, or having a history of yeast infections—can affect which probiotic is right for you. Our nutritionist, Julie Haugen, has had years of experience counseling people on probiotic supplementation and if you need to have your program individualized, she is available for a consultation!

We believe so strongly in these probiotics…

Yours in health and wellness,

The Rockwell Nutrition Team
